About
This weblog is maintained by an assistant professor of language and literacy. She is an ardent supporter of innovation and newer technology applications in both research and instruction. On this weblog she advocates:
bridging the binaries and divides that position literacy and English language arts (ELA) content here and technology over there; similarly, old literacies and their social practices here, and new literacies with newer technologies and their social practices over there (Swenson, Young, McGrail, Rozema & Whitin, 2006, p.353).
She also documents her experimentation with newer technologies and newer literacies and reflects upon their impact on her scholarly and educational activity.
